SOAR Academy's therapy gym offers a full range of occupational and physical therapy equipment as well as an additional
speech therapy room.
We provide occupational, physical and speech therapies. Therapy is provided by licensed therapists contracted through Therapy At Its Best (click the red area for more information on Therapy At Its Best). Both individual and group therapies are provided.
In addition to our wonderful therapy gym, we also have a state-of-the-art multi-sensory room which adds new dimensions to student therapy.

“My daughter Gabby is a beautiful six year old girl who looks like the perfect child on the outside. She suffers from seizures and movements. This has taken a toll on her short term memory, thus impairing her ability to learn in a traditional classroom setting. She attended the 5K program in Union County public schools. When my daughter began the school year she was so excited and was a model student as far as behavior and paying attention. Halfway through the school year her classmates were counting and reading short books. My daughter struggled and was made fun of by the other children. She soon became depressed, and getting her ready for school each morning became a battle. She realized she was behind her classmates and no matter how hard she tried she could not catch up. Our IEP meetings with the school were a flop. I requested additional speech classes and a one-on-one shadow. My daughter was given a half hour speech class which was held in the hallway. This was their answer to Gabby’s special educational needs. In all, we had 3 IEP meetings that resulted in speech classes given 3 days a week out in the hallway with students walking back and forth. Finally we were accepted into the SOAR program, and from the very first day I realized that my daughter had received a gift from God. I was given scholarship money to help assist with costs. My daughter is in a learning environment that is geared toward her needs. She is able to say most of her alphabet and is able to count to sixteen. She is surrounded by teachers who emphasize repetition and understanding. My daughter receives occupational, physical and speech therapies at school, and if she needs additional time in one or all three of these areas, it is given without a lot of red tape. Everyday is a struggle for my daughter but since she started at SOAR she has made tremendous progress. If not for the funding the SOAR program receives from you, none of this would be possible.
